A bakery style cookie skillet at its finest. You will get a cookie that is crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. You gotta love desserts baked in the cast iron skillet. All you have to do is grab a fork and dive in! ☺️
Chocolate Chip Skillet:
2 1/3 c of almond flour
1/4 c of almond butter
1/2 c of canned purée sweet potato
1/3 c + 2 tbsp of maple
1 bar of @eschocolate oat milk dark choc
1 tsp of baking soda
Salt to taste
What to do: Preheat the oven to 350. Take out two bowls. One for the dry ingredients, and the other for the wet ingredients. Mix them separately and then combine. Get a medium size cast iron or pan, and place parchment paper on the pan. (This will allow the cookie dough not to stick) Scoop the dough into the pan and smooth evenly. Add more chocolate and sea salt on top if desired. Bake for 20-30 minutes. Take the cookie skillet out of the oven and let it cool for 30 minutes before cutting. This will allow the cookie to harden. Grab a fork and dive in! Enjoy!
Note: I tend to like to bake mine when the cookie is still soft out of the oven. This keep that soft and chewy cookie texture! If you bake it less (around 20 minutes) let it cool for an extra 10 minutes longer.
